Shipping policy

General Shipping

Please make sure you supply us with your full and correct shipping address. Should you enter the wrong address, please contact us as soon as possible. 

We use several delivery partners to deliver our goods. Delivery is only to a valid mainland New Zealand address. Deliveries in New Zealand are tracked and you will be sent a tracking number upon dispatch.

All deliveries are sent out with no signature required, if you require a signature email Matt@theurbanmarket.store to let us know. Your order will then be sent with a signature required for no extra cost.

Products are packed in robust boxes and fresh goods are in the box in a environmentally friendly insulated bag with woollen insulation and ice packs that keep the foods chilled for up to 5 days.

While we aim to deliver overnight whenever possible, standard shipping to most New Zealand addresses is typically completed within 1–5 days of dispatch, depending on location and courier capacity.

Weekend Deliveries
We do not offer weekend deliveries, as our team is actively involved in running several Auckland markets during that time. Orders placed on Fridays will be dispatched the following Monday.

Weekday Dispatch (Mon–Thurs)
If you place your order before 10am, we’ll do our best to pack and ship it the same day. However, same-day dispatch is not guaranteed, as it depends on product availability and order volume. Rest assured—we always aim to get your order out as quickly as possible.

Tracking Your Order
Once your order has been shipped, you’ll receive a tracking link so you can follow its journey right to your doorstep. 

Delivery Destinations

Delivery is only available within mainland New Zealand only, to a physical residential or commercial address only. Our couriers cannot deliver to PO Box addresses.

For delivery to any commercial address, please supply the name of the business in the delivery address details of your order. Some couriers are not able to deliver to a commercial address if the business name is not supplied.

Island Delivery

The Urban Market delivers to mainland addresses only and does not deliver to offshore island addresses.

For delivery to an offshore island of New Zealand please enter the details of your mainland shipping agent as the delivery address in checkout. The Urban Market's responsibility for this product shall cease on delivery of the order to your nominated shipping agent.
